Hobie Eyewear Announces Second Annual Jordan Lake Cleanup in Partnership with Clean Jordan Lake Supporting Carl Jocumsen’s #WorldWideLakeCleanUp and ASA’s Million Pound Challenge

Posted on May 26 2026

HAUPPAUGE, NY (5/27/26) — Eyeking LLC brand Hobie Eyewear is proud to announce its second annual Jordan Lake cleanup taking place Saturday, June 27th from 9:00 a.m. to noon in partnership with Clean Jordan Lake. The event will unite volunteers, anglers, paddlers, and outdoor enthusiasts in a shared effort to protect one of North Carolina’s most cherished waterways.

The “Hobie Eyewear in Partnership with Clean Jordan Lake Cleanup” is part of professional angler Carl Jocumsen’s global #WorldWideLakeCleanUp initiative, with the flagship cleanup taking place the same day at Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee. The movement continues to grow each year, bringing together communities around the world with one mission: cleaner waters for future generations.

This year’s Jordan Lake cleanup is being supported by community partners The OneCast, Carolina Kayak Anglers, and Goatwood Farms. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle featuring prizes generously donated by sponsors including Fear My Heart, Buffalo Brothers, ZMan Fishing, YETI, Elevate Outdoors, Get Outdoors Pedal and Paddle, NuThreadz, and OneCast Fishing.

Hobie Eyewear’s first annual cleanup at Jordan Lake was a major success.

In addition to the Jordan Lake initiative, Hobie Eyewear will also participate in a smaller cleanup at Jones Beach on June 11th in support of the American Sportfishing Association’s Million Pound Challenge during National Fishing and Boating Week. Trash collected from both Hobie Eyewear cleanup events, along with all participating Fear My Heart #WorldWideLakeCleanUp locations, will contribute toward ASA’s ambitious goal of removing one million pounds of trash from waterways across the country.

“Hobie Eyewear was built around a passion for life on the water, and protecting these environments is something that means a great deal to our team,” said Dylan Coates, Marketing Manager at Eyeking LLC. “Seeing communities come together through these cleanups is incredibly inspiring, and we’re excited to continue growing this initiative alongside Carl Jocumsen, Clean Jordan Lake, and our amazing supporting partners.”

Volunteers interested in participating in the Jordan Lake cleanup are encouraged to follow Hobie Eyewear social channels for additional event details and registration information.
