Hobie® Eyewear Returns To Surf Expo

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (December 9, 2022) – Hobie® Eyewear is headed back to Surf Expo for January’s edition of the show. After a successful past year, full of notable, new product launches, engaging brand stories and continued retail expansion, the team is ready to hit the ground running in 2023. With quite a bit planned for the show, they’re beyond excited to touch down in Orlando, Florida in just a few weeks.

“The name Hobie® has been at the forefront of the surfing industry since the early 1950s. So, making it back to Surf Expo was one of our major goals for 2023,” says Dylan Coates, Senior Marketing Coordinator for Hobie® Eyewear. “Since we last attended the show, we’ve taken our eyewear collection to the next level by introducing new products with game changing frame technology and performance features. Between our floating collection, interchangeable lens technology, removable frame components and Rx friendly DUO collection, there isn’t another eyewear brand offering what we are, especially at our friendly starting price point of $79.99. The 2023 Hobie® Eyewear collection continues to drive home the brand’s recent and successful product innovations and features several newly, refreshed lifestyle frames. “Surf culture has always been at the center of Hobie®’s heritage,” explains Stephen Vaughan, Hobie Eyewear’s Senior Director for Product Development. “We’re excited to be offering several new surf-inspired styles this year such as Cove, Flats, Vista, and Pendleton. Furthermore, we’ve expanded our color pallet and patterns on top selling styles like Woody Sport, Wrights, Monica & Maywood. I’m excited to see the reception of these new designs because whether you’re watching the swells from the shore or driving along the PCH, we have a pair of sunglasses for whatever vibe you’re feeling.”

In addition to the new product line, the Hobie® Eyewear team is also ecstatic about revealing their brand new 10’ x 20’ trade show booth at the show. “Attending more events and having a stronger presence at them is one of our top priorities for elevating our brand this upcoming year,” Coates states. “Our team put a lot of thought and hard work into what the optimal trade show booth would look like for our brand. In the end, we were able to develop a space that not only will be highly functional for our sales team, but also inviting and engaging for all attendees. The rollout of this booth is a huge step forward for Hobie® Eyewear and to celebrate the occasion, we’ll be hosting a Happy Hour on the first day of the show from 3:30-5:30pm at booth# 907.”
